Project Engineer / Trade Show Construction Detailer
Location: Hamilton Indianapolis
Join the exciting world of trade shows and events! We are seeking a strong Trade Show Construction Detailer / Project Engineer to join our team!
Using 3D CAD programs, the Trade Show Construction Detailer / Project Engineer transforms design concepts into accurate, detailed construction drawings in the custom trade show and events industry. The drawings are used for construction, set-up and assembly, documentation, and reference.
You will work directly with our Craftspeople and Project Managers to ensure understanding of the project and needs within the drawings.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Produce complete scaled working drawings per Hamilton standards and client needs.
- Assist in specifying material, hardware, electrical/lighting specifications, building techniques in accordance with customer requirements, design intent, and estimated price.
- Perform mathematical calculations, geometry.
- Assist with R&D to ensure most current available products are utilized.
- Keep appropriate record of materials specified for future reference and to ensure project meets the estimate.
- Assist in maintaining job manifest and keeping spec book up-to-date.
- Participate in design and product meetings, as well as client and company project discussions.
SKILLS + EXPERIENCE:
- Must have 3D Modeling experience and be proficient with AutoCAD programs.
- Preferred two years of post-secondary education with a minimum high school education.
- Minimum two years’ previous experience in a related field with a construction background.
- Possesses skilled understanding of drafting, engineering, and construction techniques.
- Demonstrates problem solving skills, math skills, and mechanical ability.
- Accuracy and detail-oriented, self-directed and able to prioritize in order to meet time-sensitive deadlines.
- Effective interpersonal communications skills including listening, providing feedback for clarification, and negotiation.
- Able to work effectively as part of a team.
- During our busy seasons, this position can work a considerable amount of overtime.
Warehouse
Location: Hamilton Indianapolis
Not Your Ordinary Warehouse Job! Attitude is everything! We are seeking Warehouse superstars to become part of our team! This is not your ordinary warehouse position - there's no pick-n-pull here! Work independently building exhibits and verifying inbound and outbound shipments.
Hamilton designs, builds and installs trade show exhibits and permanent exhibit displays. We need members of our Warehouse team to take on the responsibility for making sure our clients' products are inventoried, packed, sealed, and delivered with care!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintaining our client's property to ensure proper care during set-up and transportation. Ensure that the final product observes the company's high-quality standards.
- Follow established procedures for inbound shipments, checking for defects, missing parts, and any other inconsistencies with the shipment. Documents and sends any damaged parts for repair.
- Follow established procedures for outbound shipments making sure all necessary parts and equipment are included and properly packed to eliminate or limit any damage during shipment.
- Set up displays in our on-site Gallery according to assembly blueprints to ensure preparedness and for client viewings. This will include responsibilities such as examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts, hanging graphics, setting walls, and laying carpet as examples.
SKILLS + EXPERIENCE:
- Preferred candidates will have trade show experience.
- An eye for the details and the ability to quality inspect is essential.
- A well-qualified applicant will be mechanically inclined, able to use electric and hand tools, and capable of climbing ladders at heights of up to 14 feet.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple and conflicting priorities.
- Work well with others as part of a team.
- Must be hard-working and exhibit a strong work ethic.
- Work efficiently and suggests process changes to improve efficiency.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Some computer skills are required.
- Must be available to work overtime hours as needed.
