Challenge

For ProMat 2025, the premier global event for the manufacturing and supply chain industry, Dematic, a global leader in supply chain automation, sought to elevate its experience to reflect its continuous innovation while building on the success of its presence at MODEX 2024. Dematic maintained familiar elements from the previous year while doubling its footprint to create a more immersive and intentional experience. Dematic aimed to reintroduce hardware into its space, highlighting its role in broader solutions and emphasizing software as key to operational success, all while maintaining its "Solved. Your Ambition. Our Mission." theme. The goal was to create an experience that was highly engaging for visitors, and effectively demonstrated how Dematic’s software seamlessly integrates its comprehensive product suite into a cohesive and efficient ecosystem.

Approach

Hamilton’s design for Dematic’s exhibit revolved around software as the centerpiece, embodying the concept that every successful solution begins with its technology. The exhibit was anchored by a recessed LED theater referred to as the “Software Command Center,” from which all graphics and visual elements stemmed, mirroring the flow and connectivity of Dematic’s ecosystem.

There were two entrances into the space, establishing a clear and inviting perimeter branded with Dematic’s logo and campaign slogan. The branding was applied strategically to strike a balance between visibility and intrigue, encouraging attendees to enter the space to understand its purpose. Inside the experience, one side featured interactive stations highlighting Dematic’s software, customer service, and sustainability, complemented with hospitality serving branded lattes. On the opposite side, a large LED wall showcased dynamic branded content, while wireless-controlled VR stations provided attendees with an immersive exploration of Dematic’s solutions. Three meeting spaces were incorporated into the space for scheduled in-depth discussions with attendees. The overall experience was enhanced with lounge seating for casual conversations, solutions kiosks for deeper learning, and a vibrant perimeter illuminated with lighting, drawing attention to the space.

Results

By seamlessly integrating technology and strategic branding, Dematic’s exhibit at ProMat 2025 not only met but exceeded the company’s ambitious goals. Dematic successfully showcased its continuous innovation, reinforced its position as an industry leader, and established meaningful connections with attendees. Dematic’s experience achieved a 41.3% conversion rate, which was 10% higher than the benchmark for similar events, demonstrating the company’s exceptional ability to capture and engage attendees. Visitors spent an average dwell time of 12 minutes and 28 seconds within the space, reflecting high levels of interest and sustained engagement. Collectively, attendees spent a total of 698.4 hours interacting with the brand, a testament to the exhibit's design and ability to captivate audiences.
