Challenge
Johnson Controls International PLC (JCI), a global leader in building technology and solutions, aimed to elevate their presence at ISC West 2025, the premier U.S. security trade event. The objective was to build a sophisticated and professional exhibit that stood out in a crowded marketplace while highlighting their evolution as a trusted partner driving innovation within the security industry. JCI’s experience needed to represent a unified story of their extensive suite of products and services while also fostering attendee engagement and interaction.
Approach
Hamilton designed a space that conveyed life, movement, and cohesion, creating a seamless and impactful experience for visitors. The main serpentine-shaped structure of the exhibit established flow, connectivity, and unity. At the front, JCI's globe served as a strong visual anchor, flanked by a counter showcasing key JCI products. The back of the structure transitioned into a mock enterprise command center with interactive workstations. Attendees could control elements of the command center, offering a tactile, hands-on experience of their solutions. JCI’s products were incorporated throughout the space. Even the venue’s structural column was utilized by mounting cameras that delivered a live-streamed feed directly to the command center, further illustrating the functionality of JCI's products. The layout tied all elements together, ensuring each product had a dedicated space and every detail reflected JCI’s mission to deliver integrated, future-ready solutions.
Results
The exhibit’s open and connected layout reflected JCI’s forward-thinking approach. The experience achieved a 39.9% conversion rate, 8.6% higher than the event benchmark, and an average dwell time of 10 minutes and 51 seconds. With 17,227 non-unique impressions (equal to 33.67 days of engagement) and 2.21 repeat visits per engaged visitor, the exhibit reinforced JCI's status as a leader in innovation. By reimagining how an exhibit could tell a cohesive story, JCI elevated their presence at ISC West.
