ZIMMER BIOMET

Zimmer Biomet, a global leader in medical device technology, partnered with Hamilton for the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) Annual Meeting 2026 with a clear objective: create a digitally driven, open environment that reflected the future of healthcare. Their goal was to enhance digital messaging and architectural elements, creating a space where attendees could explore Zimmer Biomet’s latest innovations and experience the future of orthopedic care. Building on previous AAOS exhibits, this year’s challenge was to design an experience that felt more open, connected, and easy to navigate.

Hamilton and Zimmer Biomet collaborated to develop an expansive, open-concept environment that highlighted Zimmer Biomet’s orthopedic innovation and showcased the industry’s most comprehensive robotic portfolio. A centralized rotunda supported by LED pillars displayed Zimmer Biomet products on rotating turntables, creating a highly engaging focal point. A striking triangular-shaped LED screen was suspended above the platform, delivering dynamic visual content visible from across the show floor and reinforcing Zimmer Biomet’s digital-forward presence. 

The central hub established clear pathways to key destinations, including demo labs, a café, executive suites, and upper-level meeting rooms. Flanking the central space, defined product zones on featured L-shaped LED video walls with synchronized messaging and overhead digital wayfinding signage, while subtle shifts in carpet tones helped further delineate each area.

Throughout the exhibit, attendees were invited to engage in hands-on product demonstrations that brought Zimmer Biomet’s innovations to life. Branded espresso drinks within the hospitality area added another layer of engagement, encouraging attendees to spend more time within the space.
